It began with four nearly inseparable mamas, crochet hooks and wool in hand, babies at breast, and Organic food in our wooden pot-luck bowls. We have since scattered across the universe...but like all shining stars, our luminous beams reach out, connecting us here, on this page in space. Now, as we craft and mother in our new localities, new circles initiate... woolly satellites- the warmest, fuzziest spots in existence. The love is alive, and the crafts, recipes and wisdom keep on a-comin'!

You could try making a pin cushion that is shaped like a "U." I have one that was Cliff's grandmother's. It is made from plaid wool and rather large compared to the little "strawberries." It has a nifty little pocket to hold tapestry needles, crochet hooks, knitting needles, and small sewing scissors. The process of making this would be "sew" simple! You'd simply be making a stuffed "u" with a pocket.
Kristianne, that sounds amazing. Do you have a picture you could post?
I have one that is round and flat, created out of a spiral of felted wool. You just take a 2 or 3 inch wool strip and wind it up like a snail shell. Secure the end by needle felting, then wash to shrink and felt it into a solid object. You could attach several colored strips together if you wanted a spiraling rainbow effect. Wool roving, cut sweaters, or knitted or crocheted strips would all suffice as the base material. Simple Simon!
